Burning your wrists SAVVY Lipliner- Ruby Red BAYO lip balm- Chocovanilla Miss Popularity TOP- Maybelline BOTTOM- M.A.C L2R- red revival, plum perfect, dark side, snob, morange Australis Nail Colour Blue Tiger Sweet Pea M.A.C Brule Eye Shadow Neon Palette by BYS Neon Palette by BYS ![]() Quote of the day: "I'm not offended by all the dumb blonde jokes because I know I'm not dumb... and I also know that I'm not blonde." - Dolly Parton hey guyth! SO I FINALLY DID MY REGROWTH! my hair is also alot lighter (as you can see in the foto) . It didnt cost as much as i thought as i didnt need to put in highlights like i thought i needed to. Anyways thats my hair update. I also want to do a haul/review on some of the products ive gotten in recent weeks and even days, as well as some of the products i already have. Dunno where this post is going but we shall see. MAKEUP IN THE FOTO-
LIP PRODUCTS Snob by M.A.C (Satin)- This lipstick is supposed to be a satin, however, the result when put on ur lips is like a mixture of a satin m.a.c lipstick and a matte m.a.c lipstick because although its a satin finish, the texture of the lipstick once on your lips is exactly like a matte lipstick. Its very umm flakey and can even make your lips look a little dry. I do however love love LOVE the colour. Snob is by far my favourite pink pastel m.a.c lipstick. I just wish the finishing texture was as nice because i was slightly dissapointed. I do however recommend the Amplified range by m.a.c. Any colours from the Amplified range is shiny and smooth on your lips, dont dry out and although they are a slightly sheer (VERY VERY VERY SLIGHTLY), the colour buildup is amazing and you get an opaque colour by the second coat. MORANGE is my favourite Amplified (if your looking for a summer colour and DARK SIDE is definitely an Autumn/Winter must have. However, if you want lighter burgundy colour, i would definitely go for DUBONNET as its a red-dier, lighter version of DARK SIDE. Maybelline Coloursensational Range- I recently bought 2 lipsticks from the new Maybelline Coloursensational line. I must say, they are very very very good quality lipsticks. I think that they are definitely almost the same quality as M.A.C, but more than half the price of a m.a.c lipstick! The coloursensational range comes in 4 catagories; reds, pinks, nudes and plums (purples?) and each range has a variety of colours from block opaques to sheers and frosts (although they are not names either Frosts, Mattes etc like high end brands such as M.A.C are; you have to use a tester and try them out to see, although i dont mind). The two colours i purchased are RED REVIVAL and PLUM PERFECT. These two colours are absolutely amazing! They are autumn/winter colours, so i wouldn't recommend using them in the summer months. PLUM PERFECT is almost a duplicate of m.a.c's DUBONNET although for some reason, i like PLUM PERFECT alot better. These lipsticks are only 15$ as well, compared to m.a.c lipsticks which are 36$. The packaging is very cheap-looking, however, that's not as important as the product itself which is totally fantastic! i am definitely buying more of this product. BAYO Lip Balm- Just a few days ago a found a new Bayo lip balm that i have had since my trip back from the Philippines. This lip balm is absolutely amazing. My favourite scent was chocovanilla. The balm itself looks black but goes on your lips clear. It is a must have and is great on any lip type (especially dry lips! this is amazing as it moisturizes lips the second it comes into contact with them!) and the little metal tin it comes in is so cute! It was also incredibly affordable, only 50P (Filipino pesos) but the downside is there is no Bayo store in Australia that i know of, but i guess you can probably get it on ebay or something... SAVVY Lipliner Pencil in Ruby Red- This is a really great and cheap product. It is definitely comparable to higher end supermarket brands (as SAVVY is a branch of 'Designer Brands' brand which is a cheapy brand lol) such as Loreal and Max Factor. Its a very school pencil but the colour isnt the greatest until you blunt the pencil a little.. so dont be dissapointed if you buy it and use it straight away while its totally sharp and no colour comes off the pencil ok :) AND it was only 4.95$ NAIL PRODUCTS Australis Nail Colour- On the same day that i purchased my Maybelline lipsticks, I also bought 2 nail polishes from Australis. They were very cheap, only 4.95$ and the colours were lovely, very summery but can be pulled off in autumn as well. The bottles say "BEST FORMULA EVER- an intense colour with a high shine. Streak free." Now of the two colours, only one of them (Sweet Pea) was shiny, but was very streaky even when 2 coats were applied. The second colour (Blue Tiger) however was not streaky at all, even with just one coat but it dried matte. So yeah, i duno how the rest of the colour are going to be because as far as i know and from my experience with the nail polish, each bottle has a different application effect and finish so i guess it is very unpredictable. They are very good quality for money but you definitely get what you pay for. The polish chipped within one day of not even heavy duty hand work (i was just walking in the city shopping). So i guess, if you like touching up your polish after a few hours then this is the product for you. I, however, am undecided as to whether i should purchase this again or pay the money for a good quality product that i know will be chip resistant and predictable. EYE PRODUCTS M.A.C Brule Shadow (Satin)- Regardless of the brand, this is by far my favourite shadow to date. It is definitely a staple colour. Theres not much to say about it. It is pricey as it is m.a.c but you get your moneys worth for sure. I have a very high opinion of every m.a.c shadow regardless of whether it is a satin, matte etc as i know i am getting a good quality product. Their shadows are definitely my favourite m.a.c product to buy. Benefit Miss Popularity- I love myself a good highlight, and i am not very picky when it comes to highlights, but this product was definitely a disappointment. The packaging is lovely, and once you blend the actual product (which comes out as a powder) the finishing effect is to die for, but its just not the greatest or most convenient product to be carrying on the go, or even for a quick fix at home. The applicator itself is a hard cotton-like tip (reminds me of either the sponge tip that comes with lipgloss or one of those cotton bud things you use for cleaning your ears). This makes it very messy to use, as glitter and white powder goes everywhwere if you arent being slow and careful. The actual product reminds me of those loose glitters than come in little pots made for little girls cosmetic kits. For the product to look good it also needs plenty of blending into you skin, which can be a bit of a hassle when ur in a rush. However, if you are slow and careful, and do have the time to blend in the highlight then im sure Miss Popularity will be perfect to you. BYS Neon Shadow 5 Palette- I really love this palette. I bought it in Gloss for only 6.95. Its very cheap and i think you can even get this at Golo and the Reject Shop or even Kmart. The colours have a very good colour payoff although some of them you need to buildup sufficiently. You do get what you pay for (i think this is my new favourite saying). The palette is also small and very convenient for bags and clutches just incase you want a quick touch up on the go. Neons arent reall big for Autumn/Winter however it is definitely good to have a neon palette in your makeup collection as you never know when you might be going to a FLURO PARTY! FACE PRODUCTS CHICHI Bronze me up Medium Bronzer- I ADORE this bronzer! it is by far my favourite department store/supermarket brand bronzer out of every single one i have tried and tested! its matte and not too orange (definitely BROWN) and no glitter in sight! the compact is HUGE which means it will last forever, and it comes with a cute round mirror inside the compact. I love this product and will definitely buy it again and again and again. I use it for contouring (it is GREAT for contouring, just make sure you tap excess product off your brush and star with less product not more as you can easily build up the colour), as a cheek blusher and to add a little glow to my skin. I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! cant remember how much it was but it was definitely inexpensive! |
